np. Kagrra, – 彩の讃歌
Apologies for the delay.
Finally a normal (..as “normal” as this show is ever going to get.. ^^) SmaSma!
Bistro, Sylvester Stallone (and some others from the cast of ‘Rambo 3′) in ‘King of Ball’ and the musical-guest, 80’s duo ‘Swing Out Sister’ (only the vocalist as guest though).

Clip-clop to the summary. (Download-links also added!)
It’s been a while since we’ve had an actual opening-talk with the members. And here we do. In the theme “CHANGE” (pun intended, check your drama-calendar), all the members have.. changed?
Kimutaku’s supposed to be an AD but he’s a flap-boy instead ![]()
Right, this is SmaSma, I’m not supposed to see any logic.

In the bistro we have the judoka 井上康生 [Inoue Kosei], who is one of the best in the world. He’s won gold in the Summer olympics of 2000 and has also three gold medals from both ‘World Championships’ and the ‘All Japan Championship’.
He retired from competing earlier this year.
With him he has got his newly-wed (January 2008) wife 東原 亜希 [Higashihara Aki], who is a TV-talent and actress.

The order is meat and sweets.
Even if I think that Higashihara is downright an annoying person, I have to admit that even if the pair’s being stiff during the conversation, it is fairly amusing.
Inoue’s so out of it and chuckles nervously every now and then, but his statements are rather blunt and it’s just funny.
When even Kimutaku goes “psssft” to Hirahara’s completely idiotic comments, you have it bad ![]()
Goro says that they should cut the cake in “wedding style” and then Nakai just promptly tells Tsuyoshi to sing “Lion Heart”.
Horrible, just.. horrible. But this is why SMAP is SMAP.

As I think everyone noticed, these two aren’t exactly the brightest ones in the bunch.. but they’re kind of fun in their own way.

In the end, when Inoue took Nakai’s earlier.. “advice” and called Kimutaku “Takuya”, he was so awkward. And it, ah, ended.. well?

Do we get SMAPxSMAP’s first proposal-on-air with a self-made ring?

Like I already revealed, the ‘King of Balls’ -guests are RAMBO3-cast, Sylvester Stallone in the front.
Stallone: “..I think everyone has a little Rambo inside…”
Goro-chan: “There’s definetely a Rambo in me!”
In the game itself, Kimutaku’s sound effects try to distract, but Stallone (as an old fox) plays back fair and square.. ![]()

(How on Earth does Stallone know Edo Harumi?
)

SMAP does manual labour, which is always a.. plus?
Alright, last part. We have the popular 80s duo (when they started, they were three) ‘Swing Out Sister’. Known for their break-hit “Break Out” (1986).
Corinne Drewery, who represents the duo here, is attracted to Tsuyoshi (and is wearing Finnish design btw).

The performance of “Break Out” was really nice. I think their studio is fabulous (and deadly expensive), and SMAP kind of.. suits this kind of performance. Bright neoncolors, swingy beat.. you get it.
Well done English-bits by Kimutaku and Shingo.

As for next week, we have a big “Rolling Bowling” challenge and the shocker of J-music in 2008, 青山 [Aoyama] Thelma as musical guest. I’m expecting a very good collab from that.
