np. Toto – Hold the Line

Another really great SmaSma, suggested to be downloaded as whole, even though I did make a lot of clips this time.
We have two young actresses in the bistro = playful SMAP, a lovely performance of そのまま, JERO making a real guest-appearance, the 2nd JORO-skit (..of course) and lastly, a legendary musical guest from America, Toto! aleynacap

To my delight, we begin with a beautiful live-performance of the new single, そのまま. This was so nice. You get a clip.

The bistro-guests are two popular young actresses, 田中麗奈 [Tanaka Rena] and 池脇千鶴 [Ikewaki Chizuru].
Rena is right now filming one of the next season’s most anticipated dramas, a jdrama-version of the Korean hit-movie 猟奇的な彼女 (=My Sassy Girl). Tsuyoshi is the male lead there. Chizuru starred in the weekly detective-series 刑事の現場 on NHK in March (I haven’t seen the episodes yet, but am definetely going to watch, the cast was impressive!)
Renaka has been more active in the movie-business (Ganbatte Ikimasshoi, anyone?), and I remember Chizuru the best from the dramas “Summer Snow” (2000) and “太陽の季節” (2002).
aleynacap

Chizuru is very easy to tease (she’s very cute by nature ;) ), and Nakai of course takes advantage of that, but is very gentle with his verbal pokes at the same time.
Of course they talk about dogs, and hilarity ensues when they go over and over the right (and, well, wrong) pronunciation of “Chihuahua”.
aleynacap

I also couldn’t resist clipping the part when they go down the stairs to meet the chefs. The guys are so sweet and totally “into” it.
Discover what violent incident has taken place on the set of Tsuyoshi’s and Rena’s drama-filming (Nakai looks so amused here), what made Goro cry, see how Kimutaku pokes Nakai when his choice of words isn’t the best, and how Shingo Mama gets mentioned (and how there is an “evil” twist ) how Kimutaku smacks Shingo.
So funny. Scroll down for the short clip.
aleynacap

Goro’s cheese-fondue seems to be qite sticky and Kimutaku pokes him :D Natto..
And as if that wouldn’t be enough, we have.. er.. “tortilla dogs”.
Kimutaku is in his element today, clearly. When Tsuyoshi talks about Rena’s fascination with strawberries, he makes a note that Tsuyoshi is trying to create a more personal and “inside-atmosphere” here. And that, yeah, Tsuyoshi feeding Rena strawberries resembles a Dokimeki-scene!
aleynacap

Shingo.. as you see. And then he messes up with the cheese-facts later and gets punched. We all know by whom.
aleynacap

Chizuru is teased throughout the tasting, and her mic is a bit weirdly positioned. The traditional “slurping” of the noodles is clear on the tape and Kimutaku says the she eats like she’d be in a ramen-CM :D
(FYI, slurping isn’t impolite in the Japanese food culture. Quite the opposite; it’s considered to be a compliment to show that you enjoy the meal.)

Which pair will get the kisses? ^^

The billiard-challenge “King of Balls”, with a special guest JERO (..who? Click here and listen to his song on OHP here). As you can guess, this made me so happy.
JERO is a true sweetheart. Nakai’s met him before in Utaban, but for the others, it’s the first time.
SMAP compliment him about his Japanese, laugh at his answers to a few questions Nakai fire on him (ホッケ [Hokke] = Atka mackerel btw, since someone asked what it was. It is, clearly, a fish and it’s got a quite.. special taste and smell.) and test his enka-knowledge, which is so nice. He sings snippets from famous enka-songs and SMAP go all “wow, cool, good, nice” for that.
And Nakai owns this with his suggestion and the answer he gets :D
aleynacap

As we know, SMAP are quite bad at billiards, and so they use a distraction-technique called Shingo during the game.
JERO also tells us that his favourite SMAP-song is none other than the classic 世界に一つだけの花.
Who wins? Well, at least Goro needs to learn that shouting won’t make the ball go to the pocket ;)

Later, when they talk, JERO calls his sister Yumiko (in North Carolina) and chats ;)
Yumiko also has a favourite SMAP-member and the talks that follows is.. hilarious!
This was a very nice section and I actually have made a clip of it (billiards+talk) too, but since it’s quite big (around 80MB), I’ll upload it only by request.
aleynacap
(what is that TBC? Does it mean I get more SMAP&JERO soon? ;) )

And of course we have the JORO-skit now too. Enjoy!
aleynacap

Oh My for the musical guest! It’s Toto.
One of my ever-favourites, the legendary band from the 80’s, discography full of hits.
“If you’re not into metal, you’re not my friend.” :D
aleynacap

They perform a nice medley with SMAP, the songs being “Africa”, “Rosanna” (both from 1982) and “Bottom of Your Soul” (2006).
Apparently our guys didn’t have so much time to practise the songs, but it went quite well.
aleynacap
Because I just know that after seeing this performance many people are dying to get these original mp3s, I ripped them from my Best Of -CDs and uploaded them. I don’t have the last song, but the two classics are there if you check down.

I’m so sorry. Horribly long entry and a mass of DL-links too.
